This was made with blocks and parts donated for the cause. I used the old "double sash" system to even up the sizes so they would go together smoothly.
Thank you, Kat! The only "soldier quilts" I usually share are the ones that are NOT going to the VA... usually because I perceive some flaw in them that makes them "not good enough" in my eyes, (I'm picky that my vet quilts are really nice!!) OR when they are made from blocks or parts donated by others than myself, in which case they ALWAYS go to the VA, but I post the photos to show I actually finished what they sent me. It's a personal hang-up I have about not posting photos of "charity" type quilts... even the "love quilt donations".
